What Is Hospice Care?
Hospice care is a specialized program of care and support for patients who are terminally ill, or in the last stages of a serious illness, with a life expectancy of 6 months or less. It focuses on giving comfort and quality of life by providing medical services, emotional support, and spiritual resources. The main goal is to ease patients' suffering and to assist their families in caring for them.
